Ta-Da Home Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

The short version: Ta-Da Home works without an account, and everything stays on your iPhone. If you choose to sign in, your rooms, chores and history are also copied to your account so a lost phone does not lose your home. Your photos are never uploaded. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and you can delete your account from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

Ta-Da Home is made by Luni, Leliestraat 31, 2011 BL Haarlem, Netherlands (KvK 94418691). Questions about this policy, or about your data, go to info@yourluni.com.

Using the app without an account

You do not need an account. Without one, your rooms, chores and when you did them, your supplies, your settings and any photos you add are stored only inside the app on your iPhone. We never receive them and cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Like any app's data, iOS may include it in your own iCloud or computer backup of the iPhone. Those backups are Apple's service, under Apple's privacy policy.

If you sign in

You can create an account with an email address and a password, or sign in with Apple or with Google. We then hold:

We do not receive your password: it is hashed before it reaches us. We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell, rent or share any of this with anyone.

What cloud backup copies

While you are signed in, the app keeps a copy of your home in your account: your rooms, your chores and how often they come round, when you marked each one done, and your supplies and surfaces. It is there so the app can put your home back on a new or reset phone.

Your photos are never uploaded. Room, storage and surface photos stay on the iPhone that took them, and are not in the cloud copy or in the backup file.

Signing out on a phone stops the copying. It leaves the home on that phone as it is, and leaves the copy in your account alone.

Where it is kept, and who can reach it

Your account and your home are held for us by Supabase, our hosting processor, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). The database is set up so that only your own signed-in account can read or write your rows. We keep your data for as long as your account exists.

Deleting your account

In the app: Rooms → your email → Delete my account. Your account and the copy of your home are deleted immediately and cannot be brought back. The home on that phone stays as it is and keeps working, and your photos are untouched, because they were never uploaded. You can also ask us at info@yourluni.com and we will do it for you.

Camera and photos

The app asks for the camera or your photo library only when you tap a photo slot. The photo is saved inside the app on your iPhone and is never uploaded.

Reminders

The daily reminder is scheduled on your iPhone. No server is involved.

Backups and sharing you choose

When you tap Back up now on the Backup & restore screen, the app makes a file and opens the iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it, such as Files, iCloud Drive or an email to yourself. When you share the week's plan, the text goes only to the person or app you pick. Either way it passes through the service you choose, not through us.

Subscriptions

Ta-Da Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your name, Apple ID or card. The app checks whether your subscription is active by asking the App Store on your iPhone. Apple's privacy policy covers purchases.

What Apple may share with us

If you have turned on Share with App Developers in your iPhone's Settings (Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage totals. They do not identify you, and you can turn this off at any time. Apple also gives us anonymous sales totals.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Under the GDPR, we hold your email address and the copy of your home to give you the service you asked for when you signed in — the legal basis is performance of a contract. Without an account we hold nothing at all.

Children

The app is not aimed at children and asks for nothing about them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to info@yourluni.com and we will answer within a month. Deleting your account, in the app or by asking us, erases everything we hold. You can also complain to your data protection authority; ours is the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the app ever starts collecting something this page does not mention, it will say so before an update that does it is released.
